Your Right to Data Deletion
At Ampl, we respect your right to control your personal data. In accordance with global privacy laws, including the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) and the CCPA/CPRA (California Consumer Privacy Act), you have the right to request the permanent deletion of your personal information from our systems at any time.
How to Request Data Deletion
You can request the deletion of your account and all associated data by choosing any of the three methods listed below:
Option 1: Email Request
Send an email directly to our data privacy desk at privacy@tryampl.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request". Please send the request from the email address associated with your Ampl account so we can locate your profile and verify your identity.
Option 2: In-App Account Deletion
Log in to your account dashboard at app.tryampl.com, navigate to Settings, scroll down to the bottom, and select Delete Account. This will trigger an automatic clean-up workflow that immediately deactivates your profile and schedules data deletion.
Option 3: Facebook / Instagram Data Deletion (Meta API)
If you signed up or linked your Ampl account using Facebook or Instagram, you can request the revocation of our app permissions and the deletion of your data through Meta's interface by following these steps:
- Go to your Facebook Account's Settings & Privacy and click on Settings.
- Navigate to the left panel and click on Apps and Websites.
- Find the Ampl application in the list and click the Remove button.
- Confirm the revocation by clicking Remove again in the pop-up modal.
- Click on View Removed Apps and Websites to see your history, where you can select Send Request next to Ampl to request a signed notification confirming the deletion of your data.
What Data We Delete
Upon receiving a deletion request, we will permanently purge the following information from our servers:
- Your profile credentials, including username, email, hashed passwords, and contact records.
- All uploaded creative assets, cover art images, files, and promotional materials.
- All ad configurations, campaign parameters, budgets, schedules, and custom targets.
- Historical API logs, smart link configurations, and direct click metrics.
- Linked access tokens obtained from Google and Meta integrations.
- Billing history and records, except where storage is strictly mandated for tax auditing.
Data We May Retain
Under limited circumstances, we may retain certain records to comply with statutory legal requirements or protect critical business operations:
- Invoices, tax records, and transactional receipts required for accounting audits.
- Fully anonymized or aggregated performance data that does not contain identifiers, used for platform benchmarking.
- System logs necessary to document security incidents or resolve unresolved billing disputes.
Processing Timeline
We acknowledge email-based data deletion requests within 48 hours and fully execute the deletion across active servers and backups within 30 days. If there are any identity verification issues, payment holds, or technical delays, we will keep you informed via email.
Important Notes
- Data deletion is permanent and irreversible. Accounts cannot be restored.
- Active ad campaigns will be halted and terminated prior to processing account deletion.
- Unused token balances and active subscription terms will be forfeited and are non-refundable.
- Deleting your Ampl account does not delete ads that you previously launched directly inside Meta Ads Manager. Those must be managed inside your Facebook Business Suite.
